Karnataka is a state with rich culture and heritage and this state is popular for its educational institutions. Most importantly, Dharwad district holds the top place for rendering quality education to students of all the corners of our country and at present, Hubli Dharwad twin cities are ahead of all other cities in molding the character of the students and making them globally acceptable by including the required skills. Gone are the days when the students were striving hard to get jobs after their degree but the present scenario has totally changed and the opportunities are over flowing and the candidates who have all the soft skills will be immediately picked up by the blue chip companies.

Considering this very seriously and having been aware of the importance of technical education and the avenues in the field of IT sector, the Vishwabharati Foundation thought of establishing to a Polytechnic Institute and obviously HUBLI city was chosen for establishing a Polytechnic Institute. Under the banner of Vishwachetana Foundation decided that HUBLI is an right place for rendering technical education. The Foundation aims at transforming the students not only of North Karnataka, but it would also like to attract the attention of the students of neighboring states.

To groom the students through innovative methods of teaching, analytical approach and to instill the requisite knowledge, Oxford Polytechnic came into being and the wings of Oxford Polytechnic started fluttering from July, 2008. The another significant reason for setting up Polytechnic near Hubli city is because it is just a ONE NIGHT journey to Hubli from most important cities like Bangalore (420 Kms) Hyderabad (430 kms) Mumbai (486 Kms) Poona (450 Kms) Mysore (420 Kms) Tirupati (450 Kms) the state of beaches ie.Goa (200 Kms) and the world famous THE GOLGUMBAZ is just a five hour's distance from Hubli.

Why TECHNICAL Education...?

The Technical education has become a major concern to face the new challenges emerging out of IT sector.

The quality of Technical education rendered to the young minds shall certainly change the outlook of our country. Information Technology, one of the fastest growing sectors, is creating a plenty of job opportunities for young Engineers and it is believed that this is going to be key thrust area. As IT Industry is growing immensely and contributing a lot to the development of the country, we also thought why should we not create young engineers by providing a quality Education? As a result, Oxford Polytechnic started functioning to help the needy of not only the urban students but also the aspirants with rural background.

Opportunities for Diploma holders
  • Students can pursue their Engineering Education by joining. III Semester B.E under the lateral entry provision. 20% seat is reserved for Diploma holders under this scheme.
  • Students can continue their education as a private candidate of Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU) New Delhi and Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (AMIE) Calcutta.
